Bonsai Kit — Jacaranda

This bonsai starter kit was really easy to use and came with everything needed to get started. The instructions were clear and easy to follow, which I appreciated. I also loved that it included extra seeds. It’s a fun little project and a great way to try growing a bonsai at home.

This just arrived today..they’re tropical trees!!! Keep in mind!there were more seeds then expected when I first ordered..the description and reviews say it comes with at least 2 more different types for free..it didn’t. Which is fine especially since I have the seeds for the tree I ordered it for.I did put them in water already.I will update when they sprout.It does take several years for it to be full grown/ look like the tree in the photo so I’m not sure if I will update about that or not.Who knows.The seeds are super thin.I’m excited.Everything does come in a regular shipping box. The tools have their own separate bag. I only mention that because all the reviews show a wooden box. That is for the bigger kit: I’m not sure why the reviews for the bigger kit are also on the smaller kit.Good luck plant growers!!!! 😁Make sure you can keep them warm! They’re tropical

Seeds sprouted no problem but I recommend letting the soil expand while the seeds are soaking. I didnt wait long enough or something and planted. I came home and that little pot exploded dirt and seeds all over. Luckily they give you extra seeds. Second time no problems. Lots of seeds.

Awesome and I’m very excited,I am over the moon happy with my “AverGo” Bonsai Starter Kit. I’ll admit, it was my second attempt, but it is working. This amazing company provides you with almost everything you need to successfully grow your own Bonsai forest. I say “almost” because the only thing missing is someone actually coming to my house to grow the tree for me. Seriously, they give you the seeds for tree, I chose Jacaranda. I will admit, this was my second attempt. They give you so many seeds, you can grow your own Bonsai forest. My first attempt, I think I messed up on the first step and left the seeds in water well over the 24 hours. In your kit, besides the seeds (and again you get a lot) you get a nice little tool kit with everything you will need to be successful. Just follow their simple instructions and you too can be the next Mister Miyagi and grow a beautiful bonsai. I highly recommend this kit

I absolutely loved this kit! My daughter and I had such a fun time planting together – it was a wonderful bonding experience. Out of the five seeds we planted, three sprouted, which was very exciting to watch!The kit truly has everything you need, and the tools are surprisingly high quality. As a complete beginner, I found the process easy to follow and very enjoyable. It’s such a rewarding experience to see the little trees grow, and I’m looking forward to taking care of them and hopefully having a beautiful Jacaranda bonsai at home.Highly recommend this kit for anyone who loves plants or wants to try something new – it also makes a perfect gift!

Overall, this has what I need to get started, so that’s great. Ultimately though the tools do not feel like they are well made nor does the little cup for the tree.The pruners also cannot lock in the closed position, so make sure you don’t hurt yourself.

I've only got sprouts after about 3 weeks. I did two batches, the first batch was of the recommended 5 seeds and i soaked them for the 24 hours but they didn't yield anything. My second batch, I was super frustrated so I soaked about 15 seeds and now i have about 8 sprouts. They're doing really well, I've got some major growth on two of them. And just FYI that ceramic planter isn't included. I'd recommend it as a gift.

Such a great kit! Everything was perfect. Everything labeled & instructions were through. This would make such a fun gift also!

This came in a very non-descript box but there were a good amount of seeds with an extra pack in case the first didn’t sprout. There is a small plant holder and some tools. The instructions look comprehensive but this is a gift.

It's growing!!! Wow! Look at my photos!! I didn't think it would grow but it did! Im so excited about it! So at first I was thinking it wasn't going to grow after a week and I actually posted a negative review, but then I didn't pay attention to it for a week.I didn't even water it for a week which I don't recommend....but when I looked at it again today,I saw all these sprouts!! So of course here I am updated ny review to 5 stars. I planted 11 seeds and 11 sprouted!!! That's amazing! I just added photos of it after 2 days short of 1 month old from seeds to this. YayI have heard that you should pick the strongest one and let it have all the nutrients but im not sure how to choose the right one or if that is the right thing to do. I am going to try to contact the company and ask them what they think.But anyway,this is what I did when I got the kit:I followed the instructions to add one cup of water slowly to the soil. It was really cool to see it expand so quickly! I even had to set aside some of the soil because it was more than enough. The soil looked very healthy!They give you an extra pack of seeds. You put the second pack in a zip lock bag and store it in your fridge,if you need it.I didnt need it!! The first pack was more than enough,because...look at my photos!The seeds almost didn't look like seeds. They looked like shavings,so I thought,nah,this isnt going to grow. Haha I was wrong! I planted them anyway and ended up getting 11 sprouts!! 11 !!!!I bought the kit on December 15,2025. It arrived on December 17. The instructions said to soak the seeds in water for 24hrs. I soaked them for 20 hrs., and then on December 18 planted them in the cute pot they give you. I then watered the soil thoroughly but I poured out the excess water in the drip tray because you dont want to drown the roots!I put it in front of a windows. I looked at it the first week and saw nothing and thought it wouldnt grow,but I watered it a couple days that first week.Then,I didnt look at it until after another week, and today went to water it and I saw all those sprouts and they look so healthy! I am thrilled. Haha there's just something special about growing something from seeds.I cant wait (but I will have to,since it takes maybe 5 years) to see the flowers on it! That will really be something!

Awesome kit. Exactly as described. Yet to use, but even if I need different seeds, the rest was well worth the price.

Overall great product especially if you're not used to gardening of any sort like I am. But looking through the reviews it looks like I'm not the only one having this problem. After putting in the soil and sowing the seeds in the pot that it comes with, the next morning (because of the expanding soil with the water etc) the flower pot pops right open overnight messing up the settling of the soil and everything. It took me 3 purchases to figure this out, So hopefully this tip helps others and they don't have to go through what I went through. So the solution I came up with, After you soak the seeds for 24 hours before placing the dirt in the pot and sowing the seeds, REINFORCE the flower pot with either good duct tape or even better gaffing tape even the seperate water catcher for the bottom because that even snapped in half on one of my previous attempts. ( I did three layers for the pot and just one for the bottom water catcher ) I tried this as a last resort of solving the exploding pot the next morning issue. And so far it has proven successful. Hopefully other people see this and it helps them out before they purchase this product and end up with a broken flower pot having to start all over again the next morning 👍

very easy to grow

I purchased it as a gift for someone and they planted it as instructed. They woke up to an exploded planter. Not sure what was in that dirtEdit: the company reached out based on my review and offered to refund or replace the kit. Very good customer service. Received everything and was very pleased and excited. Follow the initial steps and was waiting for to see if there was going to be any growth when in the middle of the night I heard a crack/pop sound and something hit the floor but initially half asleep couldn’t find anything. I went to check to see if the soil needed any additional moisture inside that the pot had broken and realized that’s what hit the floor and it had bounced under the bookshelf that I had it sitting on. I tried to reach out to the manufacturer via the provided link here on Amazon sent an email advised that I had pictures if they would like see but they did not request any photos they simply apologized and offered a free replacement or full refund. I am excited to receive my replacement as I feel this was completely a fluke.

First round I did exactly like the directions said. Had no luck. Second round, I just planted them like I would any other seed, watered once a week, and boom! Got 2 growing! 😁 I transfered them to their own pots last night 😊❤️

I bought this after watching videos on bonsai trees. This kit is amazing! It even came with extra seeds! The picture below was after about 2-3 weeks from the start. Great product! Definitely recommend.
